NHOL 1vs1 LEAGUES
The NHOL has two types of Versus 1vs1 Leagues:
- Team 1vs1 Leagues
- Rated Random League
The Team 1vs 1(Team) is a league where you draft one of the 31 NHL Teams and play against the other 30 owners in a season, of games. Each season lasts about 3-4 months. All teams make the playoffs each season. At the end of the playoffs, a new draft of teams will take place based on record with the worst record drafting first and so on down the line. Team statistics are kept for each game, and your record is displayed on your profile page.
Players play within their own availability the Team League Games have no set time to play, you play when you are available.
Currently there are four Team Leagues:
League 1 for elite players.
League 2 for above average players.
League 3 for average players.
League 4 for new players or players who are not that good but love to play.
The Rated Random 1vs1 League (RRL) is where you will be playing initially to assess your ability against other community members. This is so the league Administrators can place you in one of the Team Leagues.
It also, is a great place to scrimmage against other community members, play with different teams, build rivalries against fellow community members, and to win Play Station Network Cards.Players from any league can play each other as much as they wish.
It works as follows: Two community members to decide to play a game. One of the members enters the names of the players into the NHOL. The website will randomly select a match up of either 2 NHL 20 teams or 2 NHL All-Time Great Teams. One of the players will post a screenshot of the match up in the Groupme chatroom. The game is played and at the end the winning member enters the score of the game, and the community members who played.
Each game is listed on your individual profile page. Your rating, win/loss record, goals for and against, and all rankings are also listed on your page. Each member has a beginning rating beginning at 1500. For every game you win you gain points, as for every loss you lose points. Playing against a higher ranked opponent gives you the opportunity to gain extra points. Once the regular season is completed January 17th, 2020, The playoffs begin.
Here is where you have the chance to win Play Station Gift Cards.
The top 28 people with the most games played in the season draft teams and play the entire playoffs with that one team. The last 4 playoff teams are taken by members who participate in a wild card tournament for the last 4 teams.
