HOW TO MAKE MILLIONS IN COINS
THE ART OF TRADING
HUT AUCTIONS

THE DUKE BROTHERS
HUT TRADING PLANS
REVEALED FOR THE
FIRST TIME EVER

HE WILL BUY ANY SPECIALTY PACK
Trading in the Hut Auctions can be a real adventure at times.
It is easy to say buy low and sell high.
HUT traders in auctions must be smart, know current prices, and to be quick in their timing when it comes to the HUT markets.
My brother Mortimer and I have made millions of HUT coins the last two years simply applying these rules to our HUT accounts.
What we have done is zeroed in on a few types of trading areas where we can turn a few coins into great wealth.
In this first article we will focus in on our great trading techniques.
The two markets that we will focus on are, the Contracts and Team Jerseys. Timing is the key here in two slightly different ways.
Why do we love trading the  Contracts because the market is constantly shifting with one of the highest volumes of anything traded in the HUT markets. The action is fast paced and we use the following method:
1-We clean out our Collectibles and Inboxes so we can get a maximum amount of holding power at times when we are looking to buy and hold the contracts. It could take up to a week or so after purchase to begin selling the contracts we have bought at low prices.
2-Hold onto your coins. Your going to need a good 100,000 coins to use this method.
Its easy to go out and purchase packs but the return on investment is like buying a Mega Millions Lotto ticket.
3-Moniter closely which special packs are issued by EA and be prepared to swing either as a seller or a buyer in this regard, depending on the type issued.
When packs are released with consumables and 13 or 28 day contracts in them the public will dump them at super low prices.
Generally 66% -75% of the packs released are these types. The signal here is buy and hold.
Player packs only are an immediate sell signal. This is the time to price your inventory at high levels.
The 28 Day Contracts that we purchased at 350-400-450 are sold at 750-800-850 or more.
Do the math investing 100k of coins should net back a profit of 80-90% after the 5% EA taxes, about 185,000 coins.
Two to three weeks of this and you will be buying that Patrick Kane card virtually for free.
4-Keep an eye on the amount of people playing HUT and the amount of available contracts.
5-Watch the trading pattern for a few minutes before buying or selling.
6-When buying use a buy now approach, you know your pricing strategy, do not waste time putting in low bids that will be overbid.
7-Sit at the 57-58 minute mark when people are dumping, you will get some really cheap prices.
Buying and selling jerseys is something that can be done using a relatively small bankroll to start.
When I told my brother Randolph of the plan he scoffed it off and called it chicken feed.
After he saw my balance sheet from my jersey auction trading he jumped in like the greedy bastard he is.
The method I employ is simple follow this plan and you will reap a 80-90% return on investment.
Only buy NHL jerseys, no minor or foreign league ones.
Only buy the shiny yellow ones and never pay more than 150 coins for them.
The best shopping period for these jerseys is Sundays-Wednesdays or when any packs come out with jerseys.
Your sell period should be Fridays and Saturdays or if it is a holiday Monday. This is the period when  HUT players are building their collections, and jerseys are needed. A price range of 300-350 usually gets bought.
In our upcoming next editions we will be writing about how you can corner the market in HUT auctions, how we work our 2 accounts as a team, and other trading stratedgies to make you more HUT coins. ----Randolph and Mortimer Duke

HUT STREET JOURNAL
PRICE DATABASE
NOW AVAILABLE

An important aspect of the HUT STREET JOURNAL that we the publishers wish to supply to the fans of EA NHL 16 HUT is a price listing database of all the standard players, team jerseys, training, coaches, arenas, team logos, consumables, and any special issue cards.
Our HSJ HUT PRICE GUIDE will be updated on a daily basis allowing the user to get some prices for HUT related auctions that are keys to making more coins in the auctions, or full filling your collections.
Although we do not offer a checklist of players where you can enter your team, our recommendation for that type of database is to use the excellent one called HUTHQ .
Currently, our HUT PRICE GUIDE database contains all of the regular NHL teams listed.
Look for all minor and foreign leagues, consumable, training, AND special issue cards such as All-Stars, Movembers, Players of the Week to be added in the next few days to the HSJ PRICEGUIDE.

THREE DIVISION 1 HUT PLAYERS
 TIPS ON HOW
THEY MADE IT TO THE TOP
Interviewed By Trevpapp
Continued  From Column 3 --------->>>>>>

9-What are your plans for the future of your HUT play?
AlexD-
HUT World Domination! I want to build a super, indestructible army led by Seguin, Mike Modano, Jamie Benn, Pavel Bure, Shea Weber, Sergei Bobrovsky, Pekka Rinne and company!
StormsquallMCS-
Rebuild. I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my team. The plan is to try to run with all movembers on my starting lines. Been eyeing movember kessel and movember malkin. Also to complete all collections in the game by summer.
Litrell-
Well i already sold off my team, pulled a storm move and busted out on packs. My team pretty sucks for the most part. I was getting tired of HUT and wanted to switch it up a little bit. I won the Div 1 title and then said "what now". I'll most likely slow down on hut and try to build a different team.
10-Any comments or advice for your fellow Hut players?
AlexD-
Find a friend who is really, really good. Play him in as many versus games as possible, and get really good. Ultimately this comes down to how good YOU are! Great players can help. But on countless occasions I have soundly and decisively defeated teams that fielded talent far superior talent than what I rolled out there.
If you want my brutally honest opinion as to how to get good at HUT, it is this...
GET AS GOOD AT THE GAME AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!
You can have the Crosbys, the Hulls, the Lidstroms, the Bures, the Sakics, the Seguins, the Modanos, the Shea Webers and guess what? If you suck, it won't mean "diddly-poo". If you're good, however, it makes them that much more fun to use because you can fully appreciate just how good these guys are. For example, I had a chance to use tyler Seguin because a friend of mine (Storm) was nice enough to let me borrow him for a few games. Felt like I was test driving a corvette. And I also notice that Pavel Bure, despite his lack of size, has an uncanny ability to regain puck possession after being knocked down.
Hope this helps, and...happy gaming! Good luck out there on the ice, boys!
StormsquallMCS-
My advice would be to not give up. If you go on a losing streak, change up your lines, move guys around. Also play with your strategies and try different ones. Sometimes its the littlest thing that could change things.
Litrell-
If you start HUT next year and dont buy packs then you are going to be behind alot of teams for awhile. I bought $50 worth of packs and got lucky with two big pulls. You can also get a ton of coins on happy hour weekends. If your not going to spend any money on packs then you need to kill games during that time.

I want to thank these three outstanding Division 1 HUT gamers for their insight and time for this interview.
Hopefully you the reader have gotten some insight into what makes these Division 1 players tick.
Look for my next article 1 on 1 with Justin Franco.

Why do they call me Mr. 50 pack?
I'm a strong believer that the more packs you get the better your chances are for pulling the great whale (Sid the kid). The more packs you get the more your chances. Now you may ask yourself "why should I get packs when I can just use coin to buy who I want". Well the answer to that is what's the fun in that? Anyone can go out and buy the player they really want, but trying to pull them in packs is exciting and you get a big rush when you that player.

I have had one of the best teams you could possibly have in HUT, all from opening packs. But I went from having the best team to having one of the worst teams all because of my love for packs. Was it worth it? Yes!! Opening up as many packs as I did has helped my friends in the community finish there collections and that right there is the most important thing to me, helping others out in the community with there collections.

If your interested in some of my pack openings feel free to check out my YouTube channel (Search StormSquallMCS on youtube) and don't forget to follow me to see the latest 50 pack opening.
Til then happy pack opening to all!!!

Welcome to the National Hockey Online League (NHOL)
Part of the Leaguesonline.net group
The league is a place where people who play and enjoy the NHL16 video game on the PS4 can get together and play games under a fun and friendly environment.

This page is your information area where you can get all the answers for your questions about the NHOL and its affiliated leagues.
If the answers are not found here you can contact the Commissioner via email at williamv711@gmail.com.

Eligibility For League Membership
The NHOL has an open membership to anyone who enjoys playing Electronic Art's NHL video game.
We have a mixture of league members who are both new to playing the game and experienced game players.
There are certain rules, guidelines, and standards that must be adhered to whether it is game play or sportsmanship.

Step 1- Fill out a Join The League Form.

Step 2- You must review the League and Game Play Rules.

Step 3- A league staff member may contact you about playing 1-2 random rated exhibition games.

Step 4- You have the options of being assigned a team in the NHOL Team League , to the NHOL Rated Random League, added to the HUT League Team, or placed on one of our EASHL teams representing the NHOL.
League members can play in either 1 league or however many they so choose.

NHOL League Descriptions
The NHOL has 4 league descriptions for the upcoming NHL16 edition.
Team league Play--Rated league Play--Hut Team League Play--EASHL Teams.
Participation in the Team League requires you to play an entire season and and the playoffs with one NHL team.
A small amount of game statistics are required to be entered by the winning team each and every game.
At the end of the season a draft will take place where you can draft a new NHL team for the following season.
Our goal is to have 3 Team leagues up and running shortly, and after a few seasons.
Top players will be placed in League 1, average players in league 2, and beginners or players of limited abilities in league 3.
Each season players will move up or down depending upon their records.
Participation in the Random League Season allows you to play as much or as little as you wish, with random games from the current NHL season.
The only statistics entered at  the end of the game was who represented which team and who won or lost.
Your record with individual teams, and record head to head with NHOL members will be tracked.
The ranking will be based on your points per game average (PPGA).
Hut Team League Play allows you to take your HUT team head to head against other league members.
A small amount of statistics will need to be entered at the completion of the game.
In addition the Hut Street Journal will have articles about what is trending now in the HUT arena.
The HUT player database will be updated daily giving you estimated prices for players, team information, and collectibles.
We encourage our members to play in all the leagues if they wish to. The random league is especially good for players who want to learn the nuances of EA NHL video game, or members who love playing the game.

Communication
Communication between league members is the most important factor in your continued participation in the NHOL.
The 3 methods of communication used are:
GROUPME: We have an extremely active chat room that is not only a great way to get games but to have lots of fun.
Email
Text Messaging
All information is listed on the Members page on the website.

GROUPME Instant Message
The GROUPME CHAT system is a free download to your laptop or phone.
It allows you to participate in our chat room where you can usually get games in either league, or allows you to private message league members.

Email and Text
Email your opponent or friends to play.
Texting should be done in the daytime or early evening. If a player does not have a phone number listed they do not accept texts.

Game Broadcast
Perhaps the best innovation on the PS4 system is the ability to broadcast your games via the share option.
We strongly recommend you sign up for an account at http://www.twitch.tv/.
It is exciting to watch fellow league members battle it out on the ice.
When setting up your game please put National Hockey Online League in the description.
These are the basics if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

We have one basic rule and that is to use sportsmanship in your game play no matter what league you are involved in.

The HSJ brings you the thoughts of 3 different types of players hoping that it will provide you the reader with the tools to make the climb to Division 1 the Mecca of HUT play.
AlexD is a veteran of playing the NHL game at all levels of competition, Ranked, EASHL, Team League, and HUT play the man knows the ins and outs of the game and game play.
StormsquallMCS is a player who started playing NHL last year for the first time. His game has evolved from a guy who was using NHL 94 controls last year to a highly ranked division 1 player now. His game play metamorphosis has been fast and furious, his team building extraordinary, and his stance is to attack.
Litrell is a division 1 player and a guy that rarely watches hockey in real life or cares much about it.
A former Madden player, he switched to EA NHL and plays a somewhat unorthodox style of gameplay.
One that is taken him a Division 1 standing.
I recently sat down with these three Division 1 players looking for some insight on their keys to their climb to HUT Division 1.
1- What do you feel is the most important aspect in getting to Division 1 in HUT?
AlexD-
Do collections so you can get untradeable contracts, consumables and top players. If you can avoid it, don't spend the contracts you bought in the auctions to re-up your guys. What you want is to get the collections done. You never know when you'll pull a legend (I have pulled pavel bure and Joe Sakic from collections packs). As for untradeable contracts - what else are you gonna do with these other than use them? You can't sell them so use them to keep your core guys on the ice together. Also, be sure to have plenty of "bargain players" to fill in on those 4th lines and in the 3rd D pair. You can do well with guys like Darren Helm centering your 4th line - fast guys who can get in there, win races to the puck and create some havoc. He's also a great guy to have killing penalties for that reason. Another guy who shouldn't be overlooked is Jagr. The 44 year old still has his shot and his hands, even if he is a bit slow.
In sum, here's my method: build the best team I can as cheaply as I can. Sure you need to save up coins to get at least one top notch goalie like Rinne or Varlamov, and a d man like Shea Weber is a must. You need to spend some coinage. But don't feel like you have to spend a million coins or purchase 100 packs before you have a team that can compete. But keep in mind that you will, absolutely, 100% need a top notch goaltender, and at least one pair of elite defensemen to go with him.
And don't be afraid to splurge and buy a few packs here or there. But buying packs is more of a "pick me up", it is not a way to build a team.
StormsquallMCS-
Having a team that fits your play style along with line chemistry. I have played with almost all the top players in hut and not all of them fit my playstyle. Everyone is different in how they play the game you just have to find those players that fit you well. For example Getzlaf doesn't fit my style of play but with Alex and Yodels (Two well respected guys in the leagueonline community) he fits for them. So to me that's an important aspect to getting to D1. As for chemistry, I always felt to compete at a high level you need perfect line chemistry.
Litrell-
Learn how and where to score from. Once you learn where the hot spots are, then defend that.
2- In competing against other Division 1 players what separates them from other players in other divisions?
AlexD-
Defense and puck movement, plain and simple. You need to be able to read the play and be a step or two ahead of the opponent. Being strong on the faceoff dot helps too.
StormsquallMCS-
The big thing is maturity level. I mean when I was moving thru divisions I have gotten some ridiculous messages from guys I beat and from guys I lost too. As you get into D2 and D1 there seems to be much more respect amongst players.
Litrell-
There are a couple of different ones. First would be the defense, everyone in div 1 plays a full ice press which makes it pretty tough to get it out of your zone. Next they are all pretty good at poke checking and being able to knock you off the puck for a turnover. They also clog up the middle of your offensive ice and make you take tougher shots than say a div 2-3 guy. Then at the end of the game, you have to watch out for the quick 2-3 goal rush at the end of the game.
3-How has your game play changed from NHL 15 to NHL 16?
AlexD-
I'm much more conservative. I don't just rush up the ice. My breakouts involve more d to d passes, more lateral movement of the puck to get it up to the forwards. I also clog the neutral zone more, and have my center play higher in the offensive zone.
StormsquallMCS-
I have tried to become more defensive minded. I try to be more aggressive. I always have tried to move the puck around a bit more. That's something I never really have done before.
Litrell-
Nothing has really changed a lot. I just played a lot more games than I played last year. I started playing the game on a regular basis in the middle of NHL 15. So I'm pretty new to the game altogether. I started NHL 15 with a all bronze team.
4-What are your go to offensive plays?
AlexD-
Cross crease one timers, creating space for guys to get that short side snipe and tipped in point shots. And with loose pucks in front of the net, jam up on that right thumb stick because you never know when your guy is going to get lucky and pop one right in.
StormsquallMCS-
My signature move is the tie up on face offs in the offensive zone. No secret there
Litrell-
No shocker here. Like the you tuber bacon country says. It's the year of the one timer. If your not trying to get the 1T then your probably not winning much. I also like the short side goal when guys try to stop the 1T.
5-What are your go to defensive plays, and/or strategies?
AlexD-
Depends on who I'm playing. If the guy has a low hockey IQ and only tries for the one timer, or he tries to walk in all the time, I will collapse the you-know-what out of him. If the guy uses his points, I like to go tight point, but I'm fairly conservative with how hard I have my guys play - it's more of a "zone" than a "whip the guy's butt the second he touches the puck" kind of deal. And when in doubt, I'll go with the staggered defense.

Just level the guy with the puck.
Litrell-
I don't really know about strategies, I just move my strategies all the way to the right. I really couldn't tell you the purpose of the strategies. I do try to take a forward down to stop the 1T because the CPU is stupid and leaves you in a rough spot trying to stop it.
6-When building your HUT team what types of players do you like and what players do you have or have had on your teams?
AlexD-
I like to find a happy medium of cost and talent. If I have shea Weber, THAT GUY IS MY CAPTAIN! He is a beast already but then add the 2 points with the captain card and he is a force of nature.
I like size down the middle - Getzlaf, Bugjstad, Speeza, with a small, quick guy on the 4th line like Helm or Kuznetsov.
StormsquallMCS-
Speed, I always look for speed. I have had nearly every player. Probably my favorite cards I had was Bure, Ovi, Movember Seguin. Movember Rask, and Malkin.
Litrell-
At the start of the HUT season i went off of nothing but Speed and Shooting ratings. The problem is the guys that are cheap that have high ratings are pussies. You can breath on them and they fall down. Once you get a little bit of coins you can get power forwards and two way forwards with good shooting and speed ratings. I have also noticed that goalies to a certain aspect and D players are pretty easy to go cheap on. Chara is the best D guy I had for awhile and he was going for 5K.
7-How do you use your training cards or enhancements to increase player attributes?
AlexD-
If I have them, and I need a win, I'll use a plus 5 All on my goalie first. After that, it just depends on who I have on my team, what I have in my inventory and how willing I am to use my boost cards. Really, I'd say if you're going to boost anyone, boost the one guy who is going to be out there the whole time - your goalie.
StormsquallMCS-
I always boost my goalie with whatever I have from collections. Usually its a +4 of anything. Just something to give my goalie a extra boost. I don't usually boost my forwards or dman unless its the monthly playoffs. Then Ill boost them.
Litrell-
I never use them. With no duration cards this year they are a huge waste of time for me. I do rock a +5 goalie if I'm going for a division title or trying to stay in the division, but other than that i quick sell them when i get them.
8- Please describe some of your greatest wins and losses.

AlexD-
Greatest win recently would have to be when I came back from down 4-1 with 9 min to go. Blake Wheeler (Movember Blake wheeler), stepped it up big time.
StormsquallMCS-
Greatest win had to be when Trevpapp challenged me to use Niemi in a D1 game. I ended up blowing out my opponent. Worst loss was when I lost to team with all bronze guys, wasn't happy after that game.
Litrell-
They seem to be the same on the opposite side. At the start of HUT it seemed like i was up 3-0 every game and always let guys back into it. But guys spent a lot of money on packs so they had way better players and that does make a difference.
